I Wish You a Merry Xmas , And a Happy New Year .

Hardly A week back the world was mourning for the ambush in Peshawar that made us all weep and feel as if time stood still and if we were no way making any efforts going forward in life , those responsible for it came out with another statement threatening to harm the happiness of a few politicians . Now when that seems to be just another news of the past , I woke up to another news of gruesomeness in Assam , and no wonder it has already become a news of the past as another Event is going up a notch in the priority stage in our minds.

This time , the world wants a surprise gift .Yes, It is Christmas time , a festival of cakes and surprise gifts , but technological advancements  making the world go virtual in anything and everything limits the gifts and wishes to mere status messages and e cards. There is one corner part of the world still fighting for survival and another set of cancer patients still struggling intrinsically to just get cured.

what do we want ?

Happiness !

Are you sure ?

If your answer is YES, ask yourself what is happiness , though at this time of celebration this  question of self retrospection may trigger a little sense of annoyance , I'd still persist you to ask yourself , as to where are we heading towards?

To be frank we do not know what we want . Technologies makes life simpler but the human minds stupid - is this not the pristine form of defining it ?How many of us would probably remember our buddies bday if FB was still in infancy ? the answer is yes , many of us would make honest efforts , but now ? Do we remember ? All I notice around is even bday wishes changing to a mere "HBD" in a whats app grp message , which makes me wonder if social networking was to make people get closer or to part away and make us live in a cocoon of virtual world ?

we bask under the lost physical environment while we are bowed down (literally) to the mobile phones. WE want everything to be the best around us - be it from a small gift to a worthy friendship which heralds quite a lot of fun, a kind of lucid dream.

WE want the best politicians around but we do not exercise our duty of electing our representative ,at least i must accept to thank FB for this , as taking a selfie with the black mark on the fingers which is meant to elect the person who will make us all white and uploading for mere likes is becoming a driving factor .

We want the society to be hygienic  , safe , and what not ? but do we care enough to use the litter boxes? A study recently revealed that 287532 litter boxes around the country remain unused - and the worst part we don't even care to check the authenticity of the previous statement and you just read it for the heck of it.

 Safety on the road - another headache - but though realizing that the solution is within us , we expect others to drive safely ,and when Cops try to give us a notice for what we ought to be punished we see them as liable to let us go away as we are the neighbor  of the friend of the uncle of the aunt

of the grandfather of the driver of a politician .

 Next comes the biggest debated topic - education and the Indian system - WE all want to standout but we are afraid to not do what our neighbor is doing . we blame the system for its flaws but why cannot we change it and study for knowledge and not marks ?we slog the night before the exam and throw away the books because we pass the exam to just get a degree for our invested money , but what about the prime age of our life

which has been invested ?

WE all want the best ,the best and only the best which is from outside , and be happy when we get it . what is our contribution to be the best ?

At least from this Xmas let us ask for a logical Gift - at least Santa will be really happy to gift it to us. intrinsic happiness  from silly things must stay but not at the cost of eating into our real goals. happiness grows only when shared - like a fire .

Let us Lift ourselves out of the cocoon of  the virtual world and get into the real world - you know it's really a worthy place to be in and enjoy .

Egoism , hatred , jealousy - must be replaced by love , friendship - imagine if this happens the investment each country makes in its military can be used to feed the poor and everyone from the other 8 planets as well .

DO what we really want , i.e to pursue the desires of the heart and ensuring the mind takes us in that route.

let us not ask for chocolates and small gifts , let's all together make the wish silently and sincerely ,and also by making a promise that the change will happen from within . I promise you , that before 2015 is born you'll see a different world , at least to your eyes .

it is all in front of us ,the door is ajar and let us walk in .Whatever I'm saying now seems to be a virtual world again to me , but we are all good in locking ourselves into any virtual world , and this one is not so far , as it is a mere shift from one to another at least for a larger good .

so , go on , close your eyes and make the wish and make the promise.

Ask for the virtual world to become true  , and when you open your eyes with a satisfaction that it is possible from within to accept the change ,  you'll soon be in that real world.
